The HIL is an accredited learning hub where up to 25 students come together daily. A physical space with an adaptive digital platform, personal coaching, and everything you need to earn your diploma on your own terms.

The HIL is a forward-looking learning environment where internationally-minded young people aged 12 to 18 come together daily. They work on an internationally recognised British, American or Dutch curriculum, guided by coaches, at their own pace, at a fixed location.
The HIL is een toekomstgerichte leeromgeving waar internationaal georiënteerde jongeren tussen de 12 en 18 jaar dagelijks samenkomen. Ze werken aan een internationaal erkend Brits, Amerikaans of Nederlands curriculum, begeleid door coaches, op hun eigen tempo, op een vaste locatie.
Neither, in the traditional sense. The HIL is a learning environment: a combination of online curriculum, personal coaching and a daily physical meeting place — the hub. We offer the complete learning support.

International schools are excellent, but also expensive, often full, and bound to fixed schedules. The HIL is more flexible, smaller-scale and more affordable. We focus on families who want the quality of an international diploma without all those restrictions. The HIL is also not home schooling: students are expected daily at a fixed location with peers their age.

We follow the British international curriculum via Pearson Edexcel: IGCSEs and A-Levels. This is one of the most recognised international examination programmes worldwide. The Dutch and American curricula are also being rolled out.

Through official Pearson Edexcel exams, taken at accredited exam centres. We prepare students for these exams through the online platform and personal coaching. The exact exam logistics are being finalised ahead of the January 2027 launch.

Students follow their subjects online, at their own pace and without fixed school hours. They come together daily at the hub for workshops, project work and coaching. No classrooms or timetables, but structure all the same: focus hours, clear goals and personal responsibility.
Alongside the academic programme, students work with their coach on a personal development path — from sport and creativity to social and international experiences. If a family moves to another country where there is also a HIL, learning continues seamlessly in the new hub, with the same platform, curriculum and support.

Naast het academische programma werken leerlingen met hun coach aan een persoonlijk ontwikkelpad, van sport en creativiteit tot sociale en internationale ervaringen. Verhuist een gezin naar een ander land waar ook een HIL is, dan gaat het leren naadloos door in een nieuwe hub, met hetzelfde platform, curriculum en begeleiding.
We work with remote subject teachers: content experts per subject such as maths, English, sciences, and so on. Students can schedule an online session themselves whenever they need help.
Every student has a dedicated personal coach in the hub who guides the learning process and keeps an eye on how things are going. The combination of an on-site coach and remote subject specialists is a deliberate choice: personal attention and real subject expertise, without needing to house a full teaching staff in the hub.
Wij werken met vakdocenten op afstand: inhoudelijke experts per vak zoals wiskunde, Engels, wetenschappen, enzovoort. Leerlingen kunnen zelf een onlinegesprek inplannen op het moment dat ze hulp nodig hebben.

Parents get access to a progress platform where they can see which subjects their child is working on, how progress is going, and when tests or deadlines are coming up. Coaches also provide regular updates through conversations or reports.
Transparency towards parents is a deliberate choice, especially for expat families who sometimes watch from a distance or are in the middle of a move. The exact design of the parent portal is being finalised as part of the online platform, ready for the January 2027 start.
Ouders krijgen toegang tot een voortgangsplatform waar zij kunnen zien aan welke vakken hun kind werkt, hoe de voortgang verloopt en wanneer toetsen of deadlines naderen. Coaches koppelen ook regelmatig terug via gesprekken of rapportages.

Every student works with a personal coach who guides the learning process, tracks progress and supports where needed. That is fundamentally different from the classroom-based teaching of a traditional school.

Students who strongly benefit from the full social structure and broad range of activities of a traditional international school. Also, students who specifically want the IB diploma are better off at a certified IB school.

The HIL The Hague and Eindhoven start in January 2027, after the Christmas holidays, with an initial group of 20–25 students per hub. Parents can request an online conversation in which we discuss together how the student can best join.

The HIL is an initiative of Blipp Education, among others. For development and roll-out we collaborate with Europass SRL, an Italian institute specialised in teacher training and European educational networks, and with EAC Barcelona as our educational partner in Spain. Together we are exploring whether The HIL can launch in multiple European countries via the Erasmus+ programme.
